I will not pretend I have it all figured out. A few years ago I was in a place that will probably sound familiar to you. I was in a relationship that felt almost right, almost committed, almost loving, almost enough. And I kept telling myself that if I just loved him harder, waited a little longer, or figured out the magic combination of words and actions, he would finally choose me. Fully. Without hesitation.

He did not.

And the heartbreak that followed was one of the most painful and ultimately transformative experiences of my life.

In the months after, I did what many of us do. I replayed every moment. I questioned everything about myself. I read everything I could find about relationships, attachment, the psychology of love, and why men and women connect so differently. I wanted to understand not just what went wrong — but how to make sure I never felt that lost in love again.

What I discovered changed everything. Not just about him or about that relationship, but about how men think, what they actually need to commit, and what I had been doing with the best intentions that was quietly pushing love away instead of drawing it closer.

The more I learned, the more I realized how many women were walking the same road I had walked. Loving deeply, giving everything, and still feeling like something was just out of reach.
